These terms describe expectations for using CFI Library, a collaborative study-resource platform created by CFI students. By choosing to use the library, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Educational purpose
CFI Library helps students organize study materials, share resources, keep Favorites, track personal ACS study progress, and review resources. It is not an official FAA product or a substitute for current FAA publications, aircraft-specific procedures, professional instruction, or an instructor's independent judgment.
2. Google account and responsible use
Access to the Student Portal requires a Google account. Use an account that you are authorized to use and follow the applicable Google account terms. Keep your account secure. Do not try to access another student's private Favorites, progress, or ability to edit their reviews, or interfere with the portal's operation.
3. Submitting resources
You may share materials that are relevant to CFI study and that you have permission to share or link. Do not upload private information, copyrighted content that you are not authorized to distribute, misleading material, or anything unlawful or harmful. Uploaded photos and published resource links may be accessible to other students and to anyone who has the direct link.
Resources are generally published automatically after automated checks; the operator does not verify the accuracy or copyright status of every submission in advance. The operator may correct, remove, or restrict materials that appear inaccurate, inappropriate, or unauthorized.
4. Ratings and written reviews
Student reviews should be relevant, truthful, and constructive. Written reviews are optional and are published automatically under the public label “Anonymous Student.” Do not include names, contact information, or sensitive details in public comments. You may edit or delete your own review through the portal. The operator may hide or remove abusive, misleading, or irrelevant reviews.
5. Verify aviation information before relying on it
Student contributions and reviews may contain errors or outdated material. Always confirm aviation information using current official FAA publications, applicable regulations, the relevant Airman Certification Standards, and the aircraft's approved Pilot's Operating Handbook / Airplane Flight Manual (POH/AFM). Never rely solely on a community-submitted study aid for flight operations or instruction.
6. External resources and services
The library may link to websites, documents, images, and services operated by others. We do not control those resources or guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, or licensing. Respect each provider's terms and intellectual-property rights.
7. Changes and availability
CFI Library is an evolving, student-maintained service. Features and materials may change, and access may occasionally be interrupted. The operator may remove content or limit access when needed to protect users or maintain the library. Study-progress status is a personal organizational tool, not an official endorsement or checkride evaluation.
8. Questions and reporting
To report an incorrect resource, abusive review, broken link, or questions about these terms, please use the CFI Library contact / issue form. For information about account-related data, read our Privacy Policy.
